John McKinzie was born and raised in Harlingen, Texas. He graduated
from Southwestern Assemblies of God University in Waxahachie,
Texas. While in college, John married Melissa, who is from
Houston. After spending eight years in Nashville, John
moved to Frisco, Texas with a small team to start a new
church in January 2000. John and Melissa have four children:
Macy, Conner, Madison, Cassidy. John
enjoys playing tennis and golf, watching all kinds of sports,
and listening to all types of music.
